Originally the “Cul de Bourdon” the cuberdon is one of the most characteristic and best-selling sweets in our country.
It is a cone-shaped sweet, made of gum arabic, with a slightly-hard outer shell and deliciously soft and gooey on the inside.
The world was created in seven days, but to make a cuberdon takes time! The first day is devoted to the measuring of ingredients, and to mixing and boiling in copper cauldrons. Following these operations, the syrup is poured into starch moulds.
From this moment on and up to ripeness, the “Cuberdons” are taken from the moulds by hand and are ready to be savoured by connaisseurs of all ages. A real treat!
